Valmo Plus 5/160/12.5mg Tablet is a combination medication containing three active ingredients: Amlodipine, Valsartan, & Hydrochlorothiazide. It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) by addressing different aspects of blood pressure regulation.

Active Ingredients:

• Amlodipine: A calcium channel blocker that relaxes and widens blood vessels, thereby improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure.
• Valsartan: An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that constricts blood vessels, leading to decreased blood pressure.

Uses:

Mechanism of Action:

• Amlodipine works by inhibiting calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle cells, leading to vasodilation and reduced peripheral vascular resistance.
• Valsartan blocks the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II, resulting in vasodilation and decreased blood pressure.
